Milosevic does not
acknowledge
the International Tribunal
Amsterdam, 2 July 2001. Former President of Yugoslavia Slobodan Milosevic refuses to acknowledge the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia which was installed by the United Nations Security Council in 1993.
As a consequence Milosevic does not want to appoint a lawyer to represent him in his defence.
He will have to appear on Tuesday before the court for a formal session to hear the indictment against him. He will have to plead 'guilty' or 'not guilty'.
